What is the criteria for enrollment?
Positive Discipline can be implemented for kids in any age group, by any caregiver or teacher. However, the course I will be sharing is "specifically" catered to parents of kids 0-10 years.
Is this counselling?
These are group sessions, presenting various tools, about a tried and tested methodology, which is child psychology based. You can get an idea about this philosophy from the Home, Musings and Blog sections. The tools presented can be implemented for kids in any age group, by any caregiver or teacher.
Do you need to have any prior background or knowledge?
What will be primary mode of communication?
Will there be any certification?
Do these classes have to be repeated as and when children grow up?
Positive Discipline philosophy is more of a positive mindset change towards parenting. The primary goal is to understand the child's world and adopt ourselves towards that unique world, instead of forcing something alien on the child- in the process, implanting essential life skills. I have shared how I understood this in my blogpost. Once you attend these classes and incorporate these tools into your parenting, the result becomes evident over a period of time.

Parents can choose to try/ test out one tool at a time or try out whatever seems convenient according to the child's need and their family setup and then proceed.
